Satia ("Satia," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, when it may be shared with service providers, how long we retain it, and what happens to your information when you delete your account.
Satia is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
Satia is not designed, intended, or offered for use by individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
By creating a Satia account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.
If we learn that an individual under 18 has created an account or provided personal information to Satia, we may terminate the account and take reasonable steps to delete the associated information.

Satia uses OpenAI's standard API data-handling arrangement rather than a Zero Data Retention arrangement. OpenAI may retain submitted API content in accordance with its then-current API data-retention, security, and abuse-monitoring policies. OpenAI's retention is separate from Satia's own storage and deletion practices.
AI-generated information may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete.
Satia is a wellness application and does not provide medical diagnosis or medical treatment. AI-generated information is provided for general informational and wellness purposes and should not be treated as professional medical advice.
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.
Satia uses access controls, including Row Level Security (RLS), designed to ensure that authenticated users can access only information associated with their own account or information they are otherwise authorized to access.
Access to production systems and personal information is restricted to authorized systems, service providers, and personnel where access is reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, or support Satia.
No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may use third-party service providers to operate and support Satia.

Chat messages are not stored by Satia after the requested response is generated. Satia deletes its own copies of uploaded images within 48 hours, including any active copy associated with an account that is deleted sooner. Content already transmitted to OpenAI may remain subject to OpenAI's separate retention practices.
Your deleted account cannot be restored.
Limited information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten or expire through our normal backup-retention process. We do not use backup copies to continue operating deleted accounts.
We may also retain limited information where required by law or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
The special treatment of free-trial eligibility information is described below.
Satia may provide eligible new users with a seven-day introductory free trial.
The introductory free trial is intended to be used only once.
Deleting an account and registering again using the same email address does not create eligibility for another introductory free trial.
To enforce this policy while minimizing the information retained after account deletion, we use a protected cryptographic identifier derived from your email address.
When your account is deleted:
The trial-eligibility record does not contain your original email address.
It is not connected to your deleted meals, conversations, images, profile, preferences, or other account activity.
We do not use the retained identifier to:
If you later attempt to register using the same email address, Satia may generate a new cryptographic identifier from the email address and compare it with existing trial-eligibility records.
If a match is found, you may create a new account, but you will not be eligible for another introductory free trial.
We retain these trial-eligibility identifiers only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer our introductory-trial program and prevent repeated use or abuse of introductory offers.
While your account is active, we retain information as reasonably necessary to provide Satia and the features you choose to use.
Satia does not retain chat messages after generating the requested response. Satia deletes its copies of uploaded images within 48 hours. OpenAI may retain content submitted through AI-powered features separately under its standard API data-retention, security, and abuse-monitoring policies.
When you delete your account, account-associated information is deleted as described in the Account Deletion section above.
